This will be a huge game for both teams as I believe Florida will lose to either Georgia or Tennessee and LSU can’t afford to lose again. Since changing from Brandon Harris to Danny Etling at quarterback, LSU has looked like a completely different team. They almost look like the team that was ranked #5 in the pre season polls. That should be bad news for a Florida team who’s season may be on the rails after losing starting qb Luke Del Rio for the season with a torn acl. That has to be devastating news for a Florida program that was finally looking like the old days after Will Muschamp set the program back a few years.
The other intriguing part of this game is the match up at defensive back. Both schools like to call themselves “DBU” or defensive back university. While LSU has produced more NFL talent such as Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Eric Reid, Morris Claiborne, and more, Florida has been no slouch themselves. They have produced players such as Joe Haden, Vernon Hargreaves, Major Wright, Will Hill, among others. This should be a fun, friendly matchup to see which team has the better lockdown defenders.
